    Immediately asked for $10 for any editing features. Also couldn't get it to work to do basic recording of web interactions w/o microphone/camera.

    I'm really sorry about this. Losing a 30 minute recording once is bad enough, so having to redo it several times after trying the troubleshooting steps too is genuinely awful. I saw this today and pushed a fix as quickly as I could. I’d recently changed part of the recording system to make recordings more reliable in Chrome, but that exposed a different issue where recordings could get stuck right at the end, before the download became available. That should now be fixed in version 4.5.2 or newer. Chrome usually updates extensions automatically within a day, but you can force it now from chrome://extensions by turning on Developer mode and clicking Update. If this ever happens again after updating, please email me at [email protected] with your Chrome version. I’m the person building Screenity, so it comes straight to me and I’ll look into it properly. Really sorry again for the lost time.

    I'm really sorry, you're right that this came out of nowhere. A change I made recently to stop Chrome from throttling recordings in the background ended up exposing a different issue where recordings could freeze right as they finished, so the download never showed up. I caught it today and pushed a fix, which is live in version 4.5.2 or newer. Screenity should update on its own within a day, or you can update it now from chrome://extensions. If it's still happening after that, email me at [email protected] and I'll dig into it. It's just me building Screenity, so it comes straight to me. Sorry again for the hassle!

    I'm sorry about that! There was an issue with the camera permission check that could have affected you, though in the newer version it should now be fixed. Could you please reach out to me at [email protected] if you're still having problems, so I can look into it properly and get it sorted for you?
