Mar 30, 2026Hi — sorry about the frustration. It sounds like Talk & Comment was installed on your Chromebook by your school. If you don't use it, you can turn off the floating button: click the extension icon → "Show Recording Button" → toggle it OFF. It won't show up anymore. You can also uninstall it entirely if your school/teacher doesn't use it. We recently released a major update (v4) that's much lighter than previous versions — it shouldn't cause lag. If it still does after updating, let us know at [email protected].

Mar 11, 2026Hi — Talk & Comment is a tool teachers use to leave voice feedback for students. If it showed up on your Chromebook, your school likely installed it. If you don't need it, you can hide the floating button: click the extension icon → "Show Recording Button" → toggle it OFF. You can also uninstall it if your teacher doesn't use it.

Feb 11, 2026Mark, This is a really fair point — holiday breaks are exactly when "short retention" becomes painful. We're in the middle of rolling out v4 (which includes a real library + clearer retention controls), and we’re actively rethinking the free-tier window so feedback survives a typical school break. If you're open to it, email [email protected] and tell me your use case (classroom vs district) — I'm using these notes to set the default retention floor. — Zak

Nov 25, 2025Totally get the confusion. Talk & Comment isn’t a chat/text app — it’s for voice feedback on work (Docs, Slides, Forms, PDFs, etc.). If you tell me what you’re trying to do (classroom? friends? group project?), I can point you to the best workflow: [email protected]. — Zak

Sep 27, 2025Thanks for the review. If there’s one thing that would make it “great” instead of “ok”, I’d love to hear it: [email protected]. — Zak
